TITLE: Residential Case Manager
PROGRAM: Angel House
SALARY: $ 8.50-15.50/hr
STATUS: Professional Service Staff/ non-exempt
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week
SUPERVISOR: House Supervisor
DUTIES:
All Employees primary duty is to maintain a climate conducive to positive, safe, cohesive and congenial group living. The Residential Case Manager is responsible for conducting Intake Interviews, client supervision and crisis counseling, Phone coverage, including answering and responding to incoming crisis (for maternity home residents and/or potential clients), business, informational, and referral calls. The Residential Case Manager is a teacher, role model, advocate, and listener while coordinating the clients’ medical, nutritional, fitness and prenatal services. S/he must work in conjunction with the social work staff to organize treatment goals focusing on clients’ medical, social, vocational, educational and therapeutic needs. S/he will provide individual counseling and social services for residents and also conduct family counseling and peer interventions. The Residential Case Manager is responsible for providing primary house coverage. In addition, they are responsible for attending staff and Residential Case Manager’s meetings, client reviews, supervision, trainings, etc. Other responsibilities include meal preparation, housekeeping and minor facility maintenance.
The Residential Counselor will support residents and assist with problem solving, anger management, goal setting and family counseling.
1. Responsibility for keeping the house safe, healthy and well ordered:
Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures;
2. Assist with interviewing, hiring, screening, orientation and training of new staff under the supervision of the House Supervisor.
3. Participate in daily client and weekly client reviews, weekly staff meetings, business meetings, Residential Case Manager meetings and other agency related meetings as directed by the House Supervisor.
4. Provide emergency coverage, when necessary.
5. Perform other duties related to this position, as directed by the House Supervisor.
Education/Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field or minimum four years in working with adolescents in a residential setting and providing crisis services to youth and their families. |
